Ms. Claire Chiang See Ngoh


Ms. Claire Chiang is a co-founder of Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts and she pioneered the Group’s retail business.

Ms. Chiang graduated from the University of Singapore as a Arts and Social Sciences graduate (Honours). Ms. Chiang has worked at the Faculty of Medicine at The University of Hong Kong and has also lectured in the Sociology Department of the National University of Singapore. In 1994, Ms Chiang’s first book, which she co-authored with Professor Chen Guo Ben, “Stepping Out: The Making of Chinese Entrepreneurs” was published.

Today, Ms Chiang sits on many boards and holds many key positions such as being a co-chairperson the ACCORD Family & Community Council set up by Singapore’s Ministry of Defence, and is also Director of the Wildlife Reserves Singapore Conservation Fund, Mandai Park Holdings, and the Singapore Art Museum.

As a lady who excels in multiple areas of life, Ms Chiang is truly our role model as a lady, a mother and a wife.

Ms Claire Chiang’s Biography

Ms. Nopparat Aumpa


Ms. Nopparat Aumpa is the General Manager for Banyan Tree Bangkok, coming full circle after starting her career at Banyan Tree Group sixteen years ago.

She rose through the ranks with many challenges and learning experiences. Ms Aumpa started her Banyan Tree journey being a Front Office assistant manager. She then had the opportunity to be a key member of the opening team to launched Banyan Tree Ringha, China. Following that, she became the Executive Assistant Manager – Rooms in Banyan Tree Phuket and proceeded to be Hotel Manager for Angsana Bintan, before joining the team to pre-open Banyan Tree Mayakoba and moving on to open Banyan Tree Samui and subsequently becoming its Resident Manager. Due to her strength in people development skills, she is also one of the facilitators at Banyan Tree’s Talent Management Programme.

Her success story serves as an inspiration and role model to many aspiring young female hoteliers.
